『楽器で笑顔基金』とは ―― 私たちが活動している理由。
２０１１年３月１１日 午後１４時４６分に発生した東北の大地震、それによって引き起こされた巨大津波は、 岩手、宮城、福島県の海岸一帯に甚大な被害を発生させました。多くの街、港が大きな打撃を被っています。 そして沢山の人々の人生を変えてしまったのです。楽しく音楽を演奏していた学校の楽器も流されたり、塩水をかぶったりしました。
この事態の収束には１０年単位の時間がかかる事でしょう。我々はこの大災害に対してできることはなにかを考え、微力ながら資金を蓄え、楽器を購入、もしくは善意で寄贈された楽器等を自らが運搬してそれらの学校、地域に住む子供たちに届ける事で笑顔になってもらいたいと思っています。
そして平和な暮らしに豊かな音楽のハーモニー、メロディ、気持ちの良いリズムが奏でられる様に願っています。
『楽器で笑顔基金』とは ―― 誰に対して、何に対して活動するのでしょう。
大震災後、様々な支援活動が始まっています。 『楽器で笑顔基金』では、音楽を大切にし、音楽全般に渡り支援する事に焦点を絞り、東北に住む子供たちに笑顔になって欲しいと考えています。
『楽器で笑顔基金』とは ―― 活動の背景に何がありますか。
大震災で発生した社会問題のなかで、狭い範囲かもしれませんが、音楽だけに注目いたしましても、成すべき活動は広範囲、そして長い支援の時間が必要であると考えています。物理的に、どのような地域で楽器が必要とされているのか。これまで何年もかけて歴代の音楽の先生方が揃えてきた楽器を、元の様に揃えられるのか。どのくらいの金額が必要なのか。今までの様な学校での楽器の購入方法ではいったい何年かかるのか。楽器が揃っても指導者はいるのか。我々が『楽器で笑顔基金』での活動を通じて、これらの社会問題を基金を設立し、音楽家が行動し、広く音楽を愛する人々がそのパワーを注ぎ込む事で解決して行こうと考えています。
『楽器で笑顔基金』とは ―― どのように活動するのでしょうか。
『楽器で笑顔基金』の活動として
- 『楽器で笑顔基金』主催の支援コンサートを、開催。収益を資金といたします。
- 『楽器で笑顔基金』の主旨に対して賛同いただける各方面に対し広く支援金を募り、基金の財源といたします。
- 募った資金で被災地域の楽器店より購入、共に行動して頂き地域に密着した楽器の寄贈活動をおこないます。
- 寄贈された楽器、種類に依りますが、修理を行い我々もしくは仲間の手で届けます。届けた先が、寄贈主に目に見える様、分かる様、繋げて行きます。
- WEBサイトを運営、出来るだけ目に見えるカタチでの活動のPR、子供たちの笑顔、地域や広く世界との交流の姿を公開いたします。
- 音楽家を被災地に派遣、音楽指導を目指します。単回では終わらない、継続する方法で音楽の輪を広げます。一カ所に一人の指導者が何度でも訪問出来る様に活動をします。
- NPO法人『楽器で笑顔基金』として活動の報告、基金の流れを出来るだけ公開、長く続けて行ける様に活動いたします。
『楽器で笑顔基金』では以上の具体的な方法で活動し、
子供たちの笑顔が溢れ る学校生活が取り戻せる様に、長く貢献して行きたいと 考えています。
音楽のパワーを信じ、音楽を愛する方は沢山いらっしゃいます。
今回の復興に対する社会貢献として何かしたい、
行動を起こしたいけど方法が分からない。
そんな想いをお持ちの方も沢山いらっしゃることでしょう。

About Gakki de Egao Foudation Why we started the operation?
At 14:46 p.m. on 11thMarch 2011, the unprecedentedly huge earthquake hit Tohoku area and the followingTsunami caused devastating damage to the coast of Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushimaprefecture. Dozens of towns, cities and harbors were severely destructed andthousands of lives of people there were forced to change in any way. Many musicinstruments at schools were also washed away or flooded with sea water.
We must expect that the totalrecovery would take decades and there is a concrete need for cooperation fromvarious possible actors. This made us to consider how we can contribute and ledto the decision that we carry out support of raising funds, purchasing newmusic instruments or gathering used ones and delivering directly to the localschools and children to get smile back to their faces.
It is our strong wish thatbeautiful and sweet harmony, melody, pleasant rhythms will be back to theaffected area.
To whom and which we operate?
After the earthquake, variousactors launched diverse assistance programs. Among others we would focus on theissues related to music and aim at bringing smile back to kids in Tohoku areathrough the mental cure that music can provide.
What is thebackground of Gakki de Egao Kikin?
Even when we onlyfocus on the issue surrounding music among the thousands of problems raised bythe earthquake, it is obvious that extending and long-term assistance isnecessary. We must see the picture of far-ranging aspects- in which area musicalinstruments are needed, is it really possible to gather as many instruments asmusic teachers have gathered over many years, how much the total cost will be,how long it would take if we adhere to the existing way of gathering andpurchasing musical accompaniment, would there be any instructor who can teachmusic even if we could gather musical instruments- and so on. Through foundingGakki de Egao Kikin, we will be prepared to facilitate the musician and thosewho love music to take action for solving the music- related issues in Tohokuarea.
How Gakki de EgaoKikin Operate?
1. Organize Gakkide Egao Kikin charity conert
2. Pledge fordonation to those who sympathize with our mission
3. Purchasemusical instruments from shops in the disaster-stricken area and seek morecooperation when possible so that the activity can truly be ‘for the peopleaffected, with the people affected’
4. Repairinstruments if necessary and deliver directly by our staff or supporters sothat we can explicitly report the donors about the recipients.
5. Open thewebsite to publicize about our activities, report about the delivery of musicalinstruments and recipients’ reaction and also introduce the interaction betweenthe affected area and the world.
6. Send musiciansto Tohoku area and give music lecture to the children and the local community.This assistance will be carried out in the continuous way so that one musiciancan visit the same area and people a dozen times for more detailed mental carefor children.
7. Carry outactive and fair disclosure of information as NPO and aim at long-lastingassistance.
Gakki de EgaoKikin operates sustainable and concrete activities as above and intends tocontribute to the recovery of children’s mental stability.
We believe thereare many people who love music.
We also believe alot of people earnestly wish to do something to help those in Tohoku area butdon’t know how.
